Unlock Democracy and the Electoral Reform Society firmly believe that real democracy can only take shape when the people feel they have a real stake in the system. That’s why we’ve teamed up to host a Democracy Grassroots Conference organised by our activists, not for them.
Grassroots Campaigning Skills for Activists
Saturday 20th October 2012 - 10.30am to 5pm
Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) Building -138 Digbeth, Birmingham
On the 20th of October, Birmingham will play host to our very first joint conference in which activists from all over the UK will share their ideas, thoughts and skills with each other. We are planning a series of workshops, speakers and discussion sessions that we hope will give us all some tips on how best to run our campaigns locally.
Tell us what you want at the conference
We know that our activists have the best idea of what their needs are. So that we can incorporate those needs into the event, we’re running a survey until the 5th of September to hear everybody’s input on what would make this conference an exciting date in their diaries. By clicking on this link, you can help decide who will be speaking, and what they’ll be speaking about.
Our Facebook group is a great place to discuss thoughts and ideas with other activists. We are hoping for as many responses to our survey as possible to ensure a great event, packed with engaged and inspired activists.
