Director: Peter Facey
Peter Facey is the founding Director of Unlock Democracy. Peter was formerly the director of our predecessor organisations New Politics Network and Charter 88 and was responsible for merging the two organisations in 2007.
Peter is responsible for the overall running of the organisation, and is also the main spokesperson. Peter often gives evidence to select committees and is available for speaker engagements, he has particular expertise in democracy, devolution, decentralisation, electoral reform and party funding.

Deputy Director (Parliamentary and Policy Officer): Alexandra Runswick
Alex is responsible for developing the organisation's parliamentary strategy, citizenship policy and research programme, including building links with MPs.

Campaigns and Communications Manager: James Graham
James has overall responsibility for campaigns, external communications, membership and fundraising. He works on the website and is the main person behind our online campaigns as the admin for both our facebook group and twitter.
James is the main point of contact for any media queries and for information on our core campaigns.

Campaigns and Outreach Officer: Emily Randall
Emily works with organising campaigns for democracy. She provides support for local democracy campaigns and activism, and setting up groups. You can also get in touch with Emily for support and advice in organising events, and if you want to volunteer with Unlock Democracy campaigns team.

Communications and Projects Officer: Matthew Oliver
Matthew is a Press and Project Manager and National Coordinator for Vote Match. He works on our parliamentary campaigns, organises Unlock Democracy’s parliamentary events and liaises with the press. Matthew is available for speaker engagements on VoteMatch. He is the main contact for enquiries regarding VoteMatch partnerships and sponsorship.

Finance
Osman Mustafa and Margaret Matthews share the finance role. They are responsible for the day to day finance work, including the preparation of the annual budget, regular management accounts and the year-end accounts.

Grants Officer and Local Works Projects Officer: Daniel Flanagan

Local Works Coordinator: Steve Shaw
Steve spent 4 years as Co-ordinator of the Local Works coalition that campaigned for the Sustainable Communities Bill to become law as the Sustainable Communities Act 2007. He now co-ordinates the promotion of the Act across the country.

Local Works Outreach Officer: Ameneh Enayat
Ameneh is responsible for building links with under-represented groups and inspiring them to use the Sustainable Communities Act. She has substantial outreach experience and has delivered a range of public engagement projects for the BBC and various arts charities.
