Election Maps UK Nowcast projection

The August Nowcast projection shows Reform UK winning a majority with less than 36% of the vote.

Despite only 7.1% vote difference, Labour win 207 fewer seats. The Conservatives end up in 5th place in seats (32) despite winning as many votes as the Liberal Democrats, SNP and Plaid Cymru combined (128 seats in total). Overall, the Green Party and the Conservative Party would win 26.8% of the vote and just 37 seats.

It’s clear our First Past the Post (FPTP) voting system can’t cope with the multi-party politics in the UK today. It’s time to change it.
