Rebecca Warren
I was first elected to the Council in 2024 and re-elected in 2026.
I am a prolific multi-issue campaigner, particularly specialising in climate change and human rights. Unlock Democracy synergises with these causes: high-quality environmental and human rights policies follow from high-quality democracy.
I have been a member of the Boards and Finance committees of Amnesty UK and ShareAction, a responsible investment charity. Having a particular interest in elections, I am now the Returning Officer of Amnesty International UK Section.
I am Treasurer of the Campaign against Climate Change and Biofuelwatch, and Trustee of Operation Noah, a climate change charity. I am also an active member of the Green Party, and was a member of the Green MEP Advisory Board until 2019. I am a member of the cross-party democracy campaign Compass.
I am a qualified accountant with more than 20 years' experience in the public, voluntary and commercial sectors, currently working for London South Bank University as Head of Financial Accounting. I have an MBA with voluntary sector and finance specialisation.
I will continue to put my skills to use wisely and use my experience of other campaigns to strengthen Unlock Democracy.
